Getting data into the sheet

Once reps start submitting, their answers need to reach the right cells. You control whether that happens automatically or after you review each entry.

Apply automatically versus manual review

You set this in the wizard Apply automatically step:

  • Apply automatically on: verified submissions land on the grid on their own. Each rep answers drop into the row for that rep with no action from you.
  • Apply automatically off: every submission waits in Pending Entries until you accept it. Nothing touches the grid until you say so.

Automatic is convenient for trusted teams. Manual review is safer when you want eyes on every entry.

When an automatic entry still waits for review

Even with Apply automatically on, an entry is held for you if landing it would cause a problem:

  • Overwrite: the target cell already has a value. Aeluka Sheets will not silently overwrite your data, so it asks first.
  • Values do not fit: the answers no longer map to the fields, for example because the columns changed after the link was made. The entry cannot land until this is resolved.

Held entries show up in Pending Entries with a badge explaining why.

Pending Entries

Open Pending Entries from the ledger toolbar (the Entries button, which shows a count). Each entry card shows:

  • A verification badge: green Verified, red Flagged, or Not verified.
  • An Overwrite badge when accepting would overwrite existing data.
  • A Values do not fit badge when the entry can no longer be placed.
  • The submitted values, the rep it came From, and a photo thumbnail if one was attached.

Two actions:

  • Accept lands the entry into the row for that rep. If it would overwrite a populated cell, you get an overwrite confirm first. Accept is disabled for a Values do not fit entry.
  • Dismiss drops the entry without landing it.

How a submission lands in the correct rep row

Aeluka Sheets remembers which rep each entry belongs to, from the name the rep picked when they opened the link. When you accept, or when an automatic entry lands, the values go into the row for that rep, in the columns that match the fields they filled. In the worked example, the Cost and Price from Hari land in the Hari row, and the Total formula in that row recalculates.

Allowing a rep to resubmit

If a rep needs to send a corrected entry, open the link Reps panel in Link History and click Allow resubmit for that rep. Their form reopens, and their next submission comes in as a fresh entry. See Managing your links.
